Wed Aug 9th
Spent morning running around in shorts, getting a burn and generally fixing and arranging our tent. Four of us escorted Henry Morgantheau to England this afternoon in a C-47 – Wonder what he was doing here?

Thurs Aug 10th
A-20 escort to front lines this morning. Afternoon escort of same – to same. No trouble. The Lady is in fine shape, but Pap complaining of dust all over everything.

Note: The Lady was his aircraft, named the ‘Mary-Margaret’ for his twin little sisters back in Minnesota.  Pap must have been the crew chief.
